Born in Sacramento and now living and working in Oak Park, Noelle Allen has exhibited her artwork across the United States and abroad in Italy and Germany.
Solo exhibitions include shows at Furman University, Greenville, SC; Marquette Cultural Center, Marquette, MI; Riverside Art Center, Riverside, IL; Carrie Secrist Gallery, Chicago, IL; 12x12 Museum of Contemporary Art; Chicago, IL, and Terrain, Oak Park, IL. Group exhibitions include shows at the Evanston Art Center, Evanston, IL; The Franklin, Chicago, IL; Chicago Artists Coalition, Chicago, IL; Koffer Kunst, Hamburg, Germany, and University of North Carolina, Wilmington, NC.
Allen has been awarded a number of grants through Dominican University where she is an associate professor of sculpture. She has been a visiting artist at Indiana Wesleyan University, Mills College, and DePauw University.
Allen holds a BA from Smith College and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
